  • Be very careful when decanting or transferring fuel. Check that no one is smoking around you, make sure the engine is not running and keep the ignition key in the ‘off’ position.

  • Always use the right kind of funnels. These will ideally be anti-spill funnels. Do not pour fuel directly from the canister into the tank.

  • Do not leave your boat’s installation connected to the port's mains unattended.

  • Check that your interior installation is properly protected against accidental contact and overloading.

  • When charging the boat’s batteries, make sure they are sufficiently ventilated.

  • Check the interior gas installation on a regular basis. Check all connections, shut-off valves and ventilation openings.

  • Keep the on-board fire extinguishers in a good working condition.

  • If you have to carry out any kind of repair that may entail a risk, don't do it by yourself. Instead, get a colleague to help you.

  • Be very careful when repairing or servicing electrical systems or fuel circuits.

  • Fire pumps.

  • Bilge pump.

  • Absorbent and anti-spill material: Anti-pollution rolls, blankets and barriers.
